Sacramento Kings veteran Russell Westbrook passed Oscar Robertson to become the highest-scoring point guard in NBA history.
He set a record on Friday night to help make that case. Westbrook has now scored the most points by any point guard in NBA history. He had to pass Oscar Robertson to do it. Robertson's career total is 26,710 points. Westbrook is now climbing past that. Of note, Stephen Curry has scored 26,103 points. He could eventually catch Russ.
Most recently, Kevin Durant reached another milestone on Jan. 9, eclipsing Wilt Chamberlain as he now sits at No. 7 on the all-time scoring list. At his current pace, Durant would need five games to pass Dirk Nowitzki (No. 6) and 33 games to pass Michael Jordan (No. 5) and enter the top five.
