The Native American community in south Minneapolis says they're working together to protect each other from fears of being detained. On Thursday, the president of the Oglala Sioux Tribe said four of its members had been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“It’s estimated that more than 60,000 members of the Navajo Nation live in the Phoenix and surrounding areas. With the potential increase in ICE presence in Phoenix, we unfortunately anticipate that tribal members will be impacted through racial profiling and unnecessary encounters that place our people at risk."
